At New Care Behavioral Health, we are proud to have Edward as part of our clinical team. Edward is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation who brings more than 40 years of clinical experience to his work with clients. He believes therapy is a collaborative partnership, empowering individuals to build on their strengths and move toward meaningful growth at their own pace. Edward is dedicated to providing a supportive, respectful environment where clients feel heard, understood, and confident throughout their healing journey.

My Approach to Care
With more than 40 years of clinical experience, Edward Magistes, LISW-S, takes a deeply client-driven approach to therapy, viewing the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative and equal partnership. He believes clients should guide the pace and direction of their care while uncovering their own strengths and path toward healing. In addition to his clinical work, Edward teaches part-time at Cleveland State University’s School of Social Work and brings a wealth of personal experience as a father of children with special needs and a former foster parent. He is committed to creating a supportive, respectful space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
