Edward Magistes, LISW-S, provides therapy for adolescents and adults and offers ADHD assessments for children ages 7 and up. He works with individuals experiencing substance use concerns, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD, and has experience supporting clients within the LGBTQIA+ community, including those navigating gender and body dysmorphia. Edward works with individuals, couples, and families, tailoring care to meet each client’s unique needs. His approach is structured yet flexible, using evidence-based practices to support symptom management, emotional regulation, and meaningful progress in treatment.

With more than 40 years of clinical experience, Edward Magistes, LISW-S, takes a deeply client-driven approach to therapy, viewing the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative and equal partnership. He believes clients should guide the pace and direction of their care while uncovering their own strengths and path toward healing. In addition to his clinical work, Edward teaches part-time at Cleveland State University’s School of Social Work and brings a wealth of personal experience as a father of children with special needs and a former foster parent. He is committed to creating a supportive, respectful space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
